Once a new template has been created, how can you set it to be the default template? Default being the template that is used for generating the PDF from the "download PDF" link that is presented when the invoice is created.

Hi moosebrain,

We haven't implemented that feature yet, so currently the first new template you create is made into the default for Download PDF, and any subsequent templates can only be selected when sending an email invoice. It's likely that this issue will be addressed before we take the custom template feature out of beta, to allow you to select a template when you click Download PDF.
